Adding a little colour to my wardrobe was something I was thinking about for sometime now.
90% of my wardrobe is still black and dark blue with a little bit of white here and a little bit of red there!
Being an August baby, I was in search for couple of dresses for my birthday and finally found these two flowy numbers which are not only perfect for the summer weather (which is all year round in Singapore) but will surely be brightening up my closet!
Both the dresses are from local Singaporean designers: All Would Envy (AWE) – yellow maxi dress and Love and Bravery – bluish grey midi dress. The quality of both the dresses are on point, chic and trendy, yet oh so affordable (both less than S$50)!
The AWE Yellow maxi gown is like ‘summer and pina-coladas’ in a dress! Amazingly comfortable and easy to style, all you need is a hat and a pair of sunglasses and you are good to go! Although I wore strappy black block heels with it, I guess a simple strappy havaianas would have been great too! To me the dress calls for a vacation, I wish! (sigh sigh)
I paired my Missoma mini fang necklace with the outfit with some golden disc earrings from H&M (its a steal for S$5.90).

I felt the bluish grey midi dress was more evening appropriate, because of the rich colour and the flirty-flowy material of the dress. Keeping that in mind, I went for a bolder lip colour, a silver neckpiece, a black clutch and black flat pumps.

Good quality clothing at decent prices! I visited TheShowcase store at Chevron House to for the AWE dress….. they had numerous different brands, I was spoilt for choices!
